Final Conference in Coimbra, Portugal
The Green Enough closing event took place on Tuesday, December 3, from 16:30 to 19:30 (Greece time), in Coimbra, Portugal, with the option to participate online. The event marked the conclusion of the project and brought together professionals, educators, and experts to discuss key topics such as Universal Design for Learning (UDL), innovative tools and methods for supporting professionals working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, and the future of inclusive environmental education. The discussions emphasized the importance of sustainability and eco-conscious behavior and explored how Augmented Reality and other technologies can enhance learning experiences. This final gathering allowed participants to reflect on the achievements of the project and its impact on fostering inclusive, sustainable practices in disability support services, concluding a successful journey of collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
The conference celebrated the achievements of the Green Enough Project, a collaborative initiative designed to empower adults and adolescents with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities to adopt more sustainable practices. The project developed an adapted educational program for professionals working with these individuals daily, combining traditional learning methodologies with an innovative Augmented Reality (AR) application to enhance engagement and accessibility.
Held in collaboration with HUMANITAS, the event took place on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, reinforcing the importance of ensuring equal participation in sustainability initiatives and advocating for the rights of individuals with disabilities.
